Universal Design for Learning

Carefully crafted lesson plans that integrate Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies are an effective way to create and maintain effective environments for student learning.

Here is an ELA learning experience, in which students were taught about using text evidence to draw conclusions in order to make us stronger readers.

Here is a math lesson I delivered on using an understanding of place value to extend number counting patterns. In this lesson plan, I used a slides presentation to heighten salience of goals and to illustrate the content through multiple media.

Classroom Management Plan

Here is a classroom management plan I created during my credential program. This document outlines what I feel are the most important things for creating a classroom culture in which students feel safe to try. It includes my plan for establishing classroom rules, creating a “growth mindest,” addressing misbehavior, and more.
