Classroom Demographic Profile
After observing and assessing students in the classroom during my clinical practice, I gathered data for the whole class, as well as for individual students. Gaining an understanding of the student’s assets provides useful information for designing learning experiences that will meet the needs of all learners.
Special Education Research Paper:
Special Needs Learners with General Emotional
and Behavioral Disorders
I completed this research paper about special needs learners with General Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD). Researching for this paper allowed me to learn more about the needs of the diverse learners in our classrooms. I was also able to identify helpful classroom modifications in order to better meet the needs of my future special needs learners.
Neighborhood Ethnographic Profile
This is an ethnographic profile comparing three neighborhoods. In it, I make observations about the communities and surrounding cultures I read about and visited. This practice is important for developing an understanding of the culture where my students are living. Diverse learners come from diverse backgrounds and they will bring with them assets to our classroom. I will need to make a practice of observing and understanding this in order to best serve my students.
